This Privacy Policy describes how Fitness Durbar ("we", "us", "our") collects and uses information when you visit Lalitpur, use our website at fitnessdurbar.com.np, or become a member.

What we collect

When you sign up, book a trial, or contact us we collect:

  • Identity: full name, date of birth (optional)
  • Contact: phone number, email address (optional), home address (optional)
  • Health & emergency: fitness goals, medical notes you choose to share, emergency contact
  • Membership: tier purchased, payment method, transaction reference
  • Usage: pages visited, classes booked, basic device information

How we use it

  • Operate your membership and class bookings
  • Contact you about renewals, schedule changes, and gym news
  • Improve the website and member experience
  • Comply with legal obligations under Nepali law

What we never do

  • We do not sell your personal information
  • We do not share your data with advertisers
  • We do not store payment card numbers — FonePay payments and cash are recorded by the front desk only

Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors find and use our website. GA4 sets cookies in your browser that record the pages you visit, your approximate location (city level), device type, and how you arrived at our site (search engine, link, or direct). This helps us improve content and detect technical issues. We do not use this data for advertising, and we have not enabled Google's ad-personalisation signals.

You can opt out at any time by enabling “Do Not Track” in your browser or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of third-party services to operate the site and reach you:

  • Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, image storage, and DNS
  • Brevo — sending transactional emails (welcome notes, lead notifications, renewal reminders)
  • Google Analytics 4 — anonymous website usage statistics (described above)
  • Sparrow SMS / AakashSMS — sending login OTPs and renewal reminders by SMS

Each provider receives only the minimum data needed to do its job and is bound by its own contractual data-protection terms.

Your rights

You can:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold on you
  • Ask us to correct or delete your data
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time

Data retention

  • Member records: retained while you are a member, plus 3 years after cancellation for accounting
  • Lead records: retained 12 months from last contact
  • Server logs: retained 30 days

Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for all data in transit. Member data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure with automatic backups. Access is restricted to authorised staff.

Children

Members under 18 require a parent or guardian's signed consent to join the gym.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified to active members by email or SMS.
